DTM – Spengler without difficulty at the Nürburgring

For the second time this season, BMW and Bruno Spengler win in the DTM. The Canadian took his pole position with victory at the Nürburgring ahead of Edoardo Mortara and Martin Tomczyk.

DTM – Spengler without difficulty at the Nürburgring

Author of a good start, Bruno Spengler was never worried during this sixth meeting of the season. DTM on the Nürburgring circuit. The Franco-Canadian thus allows BMW to achieve its second success of the year for the return of the brand to the propeller in the German touring car championship. Starting on the front row alongside the Team Schnitzer driver, Edoardo Mortara (Audi) signs a new podium in the category and positions himself as the best driver for the four-ring firm since the start of the season.

For the fourth race in a row, 2011 DTM champion Martin Tomczyk takes the podium. He is ahead of the British Jamie Green (Mercedes) and the German Mike Rockenfeller (Audi). Starting in 11th position, championship leader Gary Paffett (Mercedes) finished the race in sixth place just ahead of Robert Wickens. Member of the Mercedes Junior Team since winning his Formula title Renault 3.5 last year, the Canadian has just achieved the best performance of his career in DTM. Another difficult race for Frenchman Adrien Tambay who had to retire after only 15 laps.

Thanks to this victory, Bruno Spengler is only 20 points behind Gary Paffett with four races remaining in the season.
