DTM – Timo Glock confident but cautious

Of the protagonists who will take their place on the starting grid at Hockenheim on Sunday, he will certainly be the most anticipated. After a career in F1 rich in 95 starts and three podiums, Timo Glock turned his back on the queen discipline at the end of last year, letting himself be tempted by a new challenge giving him the possibility of once again having equipment allowing him to play for victory . The fact remains that former F1 drivers who passed into DTM have not always shone in this very atypical discipline. For the moment, the 31-year-old German has in any case appeared relatively comfortable during the winter tests. From this weekend, he will be keen to confirm in the race that he has the potential to fight for the crown.

“Everyone at BMW Team MTEK and BMW Motorsport worked very hard over the winter, avoue l’ancien pensionnaire de Toyota in F1. The team did everything to ensure they were competitive from the first event. Personally, I felt an improvement with each test session, and I feel better and better in the car. I hope this trend will continue at Hockenheim. My first DTM race under the colors of BMW, in front of packed stands, will undoubtedly be one of the greatest moments of my career. This is the start of a new adventure for me. Our goal will be to gain experience and learn. I am very impatient. »
