DTM – A short 2013 season… but intense

The 2013 season of DTM promises to be short, just over four months (19 weeks or 133 days), but...very intense. The 10 races on the program will each be held two weeks apart, with an opening round on May 5 and a final stage on September 15, both on the Hockenheim track, as is tradition.

There will therefore be as many events as this year. And the first stopover in Russia, in Moscow on August 4, will undoubtedly be one of the highlights of the next opus, which will not go to Spain unlike this year. “We are going to offer our fans an even more compact calendar in 2013, underlines Hans Werner Aufrecht, boss of ITR, which owns the rights to the DTM. From the beginning of May to mid-September, the DTM will occur almost every two weeks. With the aim of internationalization, we are looking forward to going to Russia, an extremely attractive new market. So attractive that we were even ready to give up on Spain. » In addition to Russia, the countries visited other than Germany will be Great Britain, Austria and the Netherlands.

Here is the 2013 calendar for the Deutsche Tourenwagen Masters:
May 5 – Hockenheim (Germany)
May 19 – Brands Hatch (Great Britain)
2 June - Red Bull Ring Spielberg (Austria)
16 June – Lausitzring (Germany)
July 7 – Norisring (Germany)
July 21 – Zandvoort (Netherlands)
4 August – Moscow (Russia)
18 August – Nürburgring (Germany)
1er September – Oschersleben (Germany)
September 15e – Hockenheim (Germany)
