Loïc duval is having a busy season, between his commitment to the German Touring Championship (DTM) with Audi Sport and driving in LM P2 in the Super Season of the World Endurance Championship (WEC) with TDS Racing. The 36-year-old Frenchman looks back with honesty on a hitherto complicated season in Germany (17th with 17 points).
According to the 2013 WEC world champion, “It's tough on an accounting level, but as far as performance is concerned, it's much better than last year. Unfortunately, this is not visible because we (Audi. Ed.) we are behind (...) Only René (Rast, outgoing champion) gets by, and the rest of us are grouped behind. If we take the average of all the qualifications, I think that apart from him, all the Audi drivers are in the second part of the table. »

Loïc Duval also recalls the sometimes strange appearance of the DTM rankings from one year to the next. “Last year, although he finished second, Jamie Green was the best driver throughout the season and today he is last (with only 11 points. Editor’s note). He didn't get bad in the offseason.
For us pilots, it remains a mystery, and it's super frustrating, especially when you do endurance at the same time and it works (pole position at Le Mans before being penalized). We have to live with it and it must not stop us from working. If you can't take a step back, you can quickly lose control », He explains.
