Fabio Scherer and Ed Jones with Team WRT in 2020

Complete change for Team WRT in 2020 in DTM. Vincent Vosse's Belgian team will completely change its driver duo for the next season, by hiring two rookies Fabio Scherer and Ed Jones, replacing Pietro Fittipaldi and Jonathan Aberdein.

The Swiss Fabio Scherer, 20 years old, changes horizons after several campaigns in car in the FIA ​​European Championship F3, then FIA F3 international version with Motopark and Sauber Junior Team by Charouz.

Ed Jones also has solid single-seater experience, having competed in several seasons in Formula Renault 2.0 or F3 in Europe until 2014 before turning to the United States, via Indy Lights (2016 title) then the IndyCar Series at Dale Coyne Racing, Chip Ganassi Racing and Ed Carpenter Racing Team Corsa last year.

Jones notably took a third place in 2017 at the Indy 500, winning the title of Rookie of the Year that same year.

The two new recruits will debut with Team WRT's Audi RS 5 DTMs during this week's Rookie Test at Jerez in Spain.
