Frey: Meeting Ullrich's expectations

After a first year of apprenticeship, Rahel Frey is preparing to begin her second season in DTM with Audi. The Swiss joins the ABT Sportsline team where Timo Scheider and Mattias Ekström will compete, who between them have four titles in the discipline. The spotlight will be on the German and the Swede but Dr Wolfgang Ullrich believes that the young 26-year-old driver will be able to surprise this year. Rahel Frey intends to prove herself to thank the manufacturer with the rings and meet the expectations of the Audi sporting director.

“I hope I can fully meet his expectations”, confirms Rahel Frey. “I took the plunge a bit last year, I only did two tests before my first race and I wasn't able to do any other tests during the season. However, I had many opportunities to train this winter and it helped me a lot. I now have a lot more experience and I am sure that it will pay off. I was able to get behind the wheel of the new Audi A5 DTM, every driver has been involved in the development from the start. This is a very good thing because we are all treated at the same level. I will have to get behind the wheel of the car in its final form again during the tests scheduled in Valencia. »
