Glock resists Hockenheim

Timo Glock (BMW) a converti sa pole de la Course 2 en victoire, mais l’ancien pilote Toyota F1 had a lot to do to maintain the lead of the event since he had to resist the attacks of Gary Paffett (Mercedes), the winner of Saturday.

The Briton finally gave way to Mike Rockenfeller (Audi) to settle for the last step of the podium. However, his start to the race started well since he only started from tenth place before making a very quick stop. Despite his third place, he ceded control of the Championship by one point to the victorious German.

After competing in the 6 Hours of Spa between the two races, Loïc duval (Audi) took fifth place after starting from 12th position. The winner of 24 Hours of Le Mans 2013 finished behind Joel Eriksson (BMW).

The return to DTM seems to be doing well for Pascal Wehrlein (Mercedes) since the former Sauber F1 driver took sixth place after completing the Top 5 the day before. The German was ahead of reigning champion René Rast who lost several positions after passing through the grass.

Lucas Auer (Mercedes) had to settle for 15th position after being given a penalty for having anticipated the start. The Austrian finished ahead of Mattias Ekström (Audi) who was competing in his last DTM race after only taking 17th place the day before.
