He will not have beaten the time of the first day set by Philipp Eng (BMW) in 1'19''203, but Ferdinand von Habsburg (Audi) was still on the pace by signing a lap at the Nürburgring in 1 '19''319. The Austrian was the fastest on the second day of testing DTM at the Nürburgring, ahead of his compatriot by a hundredth at the end of the morning and remained the fastest during the afternoon session. The WRT driver completed a total of 164 laps of the 5,1km circuit (836,4km).
Jamie Green (Audi) followed almost 2 tenths ahead of Marc Witmann (BMW), while Loïc duval (Audi) completed the Top 5 of the day by completing only 29 laps. The Frenchman is still recovering from a broken collarbone following a fall while cycling.
Mike Rockenfeller (Audi) took 6th place ahead of Nico Müller (Audi) and the BMWs of Robert Kubica and Lucas Auer. Fabio Scherer and Robin Frijns (Audi) followed in 10th and 11th places.
Testing will continue for two days at the Nürburgring before the start of the season scheduled at Spa-Francorchamps on August 1.
