Hockenheim, shorter, more spectacle!

Last year there were no less than 155 at the Hockenheim final, to witness Timo Scheider's second coronation. But the organizers want to attract even more people this season to the German track on October 000, for what will be the last German meeting this season before the last two rounds scheduled at Adria and Shanghai.

The Hockenheim circuit will be shortened by 20%. This “new” route involves work which will subsequently have to receive the approval of the German motorsport federation.

In Parabolika, the competitors will not take the hairpin, but will turn right 400 meters before. The reduction in the length of the track will not necessarily imply a reduction in the total distance of the event, Audi and others Mercedes will simply complete more laps. This initiative will therefore allow spectators to see the cars pass more often.

Good news for fans, this modification of the circuit is accompanied by a 20% reduction in tickets for Grandstand A in the bronze category. Note that the F3 Euro Series, the Porsche Carrera Cup, la Seat Leon Supercopa et la VW Scirroco R-Cup se produiront en course support.

The spectacle promises to be gripping at Hockenheim on October 17.
