Jamie Green returns to Mercedes

After playing seven seasons with Mercedes, Jamie Green once again extends his contract with the star manufacturer for an eighth consecutive year in the discipline. The Briton, who twice finished fourth in the Championship in 2007 and 2008, distinguished himself last year by winning the last race of the season at Hockenheim. He will discover the new Mercedes C Coupé while continuing with the HWA team. "The DTM enters a new phase in 2012, the new cars and technical regulations promise more exciting races than before. I look forward to bringing my experience to the development of the new Mercedes C Coupé. »

Norbert Haug, Mercedes sporting director, is also delighted to see Jamie Green remain with the star manufacturer where he will join Ralf Schumacher, David Coulthard, Jamie Green and Susie Wolff. “Jamie is without a doubt one of the smartest and fastest drivers in DTM. We are looking forward to competing in this new season with Jamie who, like a real racing driver, has been working on his German skills, which are almost reaching perfection in his driving at Hockenheim. »
