Jenson Button on track during the Hockenheim final with a Honda NSX-GT

If we knew that a common race DTM / Super GT, as part of the rapprochement with the Class 1 regulations, will be organized on the weekend of November 22 to 24 in Fuji in Japan, Jenson Button has just revealed that another event should see the cars from the two championships brought together .

The world champion F1 has indicated on social media that he will drive a Team Kunimitsu Honda NSX-GT in the DTM finale at Hockenheim (October 4-6). The Briton also points out that a Nissan GT-R GT500 and a Lexus LC500 will also be there.

BREAKING NEWS!! I'll be racing in DTM at Hockenheim October 5th-6th. During my career as a driver I've always been an avid admirer of so many different forms of top level motorsport and the plan post F1 has always been to seek out new opportunities and challenges across those various categories. I'm delighted to say I've been given another such opportunity by Honda, GTA & DTM as I will be taking part in the last 2 rounds of the DTM championship at Hockenheim in my @team_kunimitsu_official Honda NSX. Nissan and Lexus from Super GT will also be entering a car each which will make an already fiercely competitive championship even more so and I can't wait to experience it first hand. . Who's coming to support?! . . by @shigeyoshi_male
