The Grasser Racing Team Twitter account is facetious. " The DTM wants to have a green image, so we are happy to announce that we will increase the number of cars decorated in green to four in DTM next year. » This is the way the Italian team used to announce its arrival in the German Touring Championship in 2022.
Welcome to the DTM family, @GrasserRacing!

Support by Lamborghini Squadra Corse, the competition division of the Sant'Agata Bolognese brand, the GRT will indeed field a whopping four Huracan GT3 Evos. A factory driver will take place in No. 63, but the identity of the drivers remains confidential for the moment.
In any case, this is the sign that the DTM, led by Gerhard Berger in adopting the GT3 regulations in 2021, gains in attractiveness. This season, Lamborghini was represented through independent drivers Esteban Muth and Esmee Hawkey.
“The DTM is a valuable marketing platform and tough competition that allows us to move forward with the future in mind, recognizes Giorgio Sanna, the head of Squadra Corse. We have high hopes and look forward to a successful season in 2022.”
“DTM is one of the most exciting series, and entering four cars in this field is a fantastic challenge that we look forward to taking on, continues Gottfried Grasser, Team Principal. The Lamborghini Huracan GT3 Evo has repeatedly proven its winning DNA and will certainly provide us with a competitive package in 2022. It will be an exciting season, and I can't wait to see our cars take to the track. »
Engaged in 2021 in IMSA across the Atlantic as well as in ADAC GT Masters in Germany, the GRT has not yet revealed its plans for these two categories.
