Liam Lawson (Ferrari) is gaining momentum in the German Touring Championship (DTM). The New Zealander, aged 19 and a rookie in this 2021 season, had the luxury of signing a second consecutive victory on the circuit owned by his employer, the Red Bull Ring (Austria).

The resident of the AF Corse team has already won three times this year after opening the score at Monza (Italy) earlier in the spring. Liam Lawson went for this victory with the strength of his wrist and pedals against Marco Wittmann (BMW) in great form.

The German, double champion in the discipline, had taken pole position and intended to worry Kelvin van der Linde (Audi) in the fight for the Drivers' title. But during the pit stops, the Kiwi emerged in front of Marco Wittmann and the positions were not going to change.

Kelvin van der Linde once again finished off the podium and conceded important points over his rivals. Now the South African is just 12 points ahead of a rampaging Liam Lawson this summer. Maximilian Götz (Mercedes) which is placed on the third step of the podium, is closer to 16 units.

The only Frenchman entered, Vincent Abril (Mercedes) scored the points for eighth position.
