The DTM extends with the Oschersleben circuit

The Oschersleben circuit will continue to be included in the calendar for DTM for the next two years. The DTM promotion company, ITR, and the management of the German circuit have decided to extend the contract between them until 2016. Oschersleben will host the discipline from May 16 to 18, forming the second event of the Championship, two weeks after the season opener at Hockenheim.

“Oschersleben has been an integral part of our calendar since the birth of the new DTM”, commented Hans Werner Aufrecht, President of ITR. “We have always been cordially received and the public makes us feel that the DTM has a particularly important meaning in this part of Germany. In addition, the commissioners are very professional and they work with great passion. Given these facts, it made sense for us to extend our contract until 2016.”

Thomas Voss, CEO of Motorsport Arena Oschersleben, is also delighted to secure the future of his circuit with the DTM. “It goes without saying that we are delighted to have been able to once again extend our agreement with the DTM, our highlight of the season, for several years. This agreement allows us to be confident in our forecasts, something that is rather unusual in this sector. I thank the management of ITR for its trust. »
