Marco Wittmann took pole for Race 1 at Zolder, beating René Rast by a few thousandths.

Marco Wittmann on pole at Zolder

The pole for Race 1 of DTM in Zolder (Belgium) was hotly contested, but it was championship leader Marco Wittmann (BMW) who took pole by completing a lap in 1'21''307 with a 42 thousandths lead over René Rast ( Audi). The two Germans will start in front of the M4 DTMs of Bruno Spengler and Sheldon van der Linde, while Robin Frijns (Audi) took 5th position ahead of the BMWs of Timo Glock and Philipp Eng.

 

 

The Top 10 on the grid was completed by Nico Müller (Audi), Joel Eriksson (BMW) and Jamie Green (Audi). Loic duval (Audi) took 14th position, just behind first Aston Martin Vantage led by Jake Dennis.

 

 

Race 1 of the DTM in Zolder will be followed in live streaming from 13h15.
