Maxi Götz dominates first day of Lausitzring testing

As in Hockenheim, the Mercedes-AMG GT3 Evos set the pace on the first day of testing at the Lausitzring in the DTM. Maxi Götz and Haupt Racing in the lead.

Maxi Götz dominates first day of Lausitzring testing

La Mercedes-AMG GT3 Evo – HRT by Maxi Götz, clad in its pink BWT livery, led the way yesterday during the first day of pre-season testing at the Lausitzring in DTM.

The regular resident of the star form has indeed stood out on the track by establishing the best time of the day in 1'43″840 at the end of the afternoon session, to bring behind him four other Mercedes, respectively entrusted to Daniel Juncadella (Gruppe M), Philip Ellis (best time of the morning in a session disrupted by rain) and Lucas Auer (Winward ) and Arjun Maini (GetSpeed).

The two follow Ferrari 488 GT3 – Alex’s AF Corse Albon and Nick Cassidy and the first Audi R8 LMS GT3 Evo – Abt of Kelvin van der Linde. Gary Paffett (Mercedes) and Nico Müller (Audi) complete the top 10. Vincent Abril, Götz's teammate, sets the 12th fastest time, just behind the first BMW M6 GT3 of Marco Wittmann.

Testing will continue this Wednesday with two new two-hour sessions on track.
