Nissan interested in DTM

Nissan, which would like to gain exposure in Europe, is closely following the evolution of the DTM, which must adopt new regulations from 2012, and which should be close to those of the Super GT and Grand Am.

Nissan interested in DTM

Nissan, entered in Super GT, the Asian touring car championship, welcomes the rapprochement between the series, the DTM and Grand Am, for the establishment of common regulations. The Japanese manufacturer, which wishes to have more visibility than in FIA GT1, a championship which hardly attracts crowds, could thus turn to the DTM.

« We spoke to ITR », the promoter of the DTM, says Carlos Tavares, vice-president of Nissan, to Autosport. “ However, we have not made any decision.
