Ogier and Ekström exchange their mounts

Mattias Ekström has never hidden his love for rally. He has already tried it several times. Sébastien Ogier, himself, appears quite astonishing each time he sits in the seat of a car on a circuit, as was the case in Porsche Supercup in Monaco last May.

This morning, ahead of the seventh round of DTM 2013, the two men exchanged their usual mounts. An exchange made possible in particular by the fact that Audi and VW, two brands of the VAG group, are both sponsored by Red Bull, respectively in DTM and in WRC.

Sébastien Ogier completed five laps of the German track in the Audi RS5 DTM of the two-time winner of the German Touring Car Championship. “Obviously, I wasn't able to push to the limit in such a short time, especially when braking, underlines the Gapençais. But five laps were enough to whet my appetite and make me want to do more. I would now like to carry out a real test with the Audi RS 5 DTM. This car is fantastic and really nice. » According to Ekström, the Habs would have done very well. The latter even blurted out: “I could clearly imagine racing in the DTM after the end of my rally career. » The Swede also greatly enjoyed his experience aboard the Polo R WRC carried out shortly afterwards on a nearby road section.

On Sunday, it is from the Audi Sport Team Abt Sportsline stand that the former Citroën driver will follow the race before leaving to carry out reconnaissance of the Rally Germany.
