Rast leads Duval in Q2, eight Audis ahead at Brands Hatch

Marco Wittmann was the only one to break the ultra-domination of the Audi RS 5 DTM yesterday at Brands Hatch, by signing pole position and victory in race 1. But this time, the BMW driver and his teammates were unable to do anything against the cars at the rings.

The eight Audi RS 5s took the first eight positions on the starting grid for the second race of the English weekend this Sunday morning, with pole position for René Rast. On a dry track, the championship leader completed his reference lap in 1'15"134, beating Loïc duval by almost three tenths.

The second row will be shared between Robin Frijns and Jamie Green, while Mike Rockenfeller and Nico Müller will start from the third row of the grid. Followed by the two Audi RS 5s from Team WRT of Pietro Fittipaldi, who retired from C1 yesterday after his qualifying accident, and Jonathan Aberdein.

Philipp Eng places the best BMW M4 in 9th position ahead of the first Aston Martin Vantage by Dani Juncadella. Race 2 will start at 14:30 p.m. and can be followed live video on our website.
