Scheider, last chance for a victory

For three years he had been the spearhead of the Audi team in DTM. Champion in 2008 and 2009, fourth behind three drivers Mercedes Last year, Timo Scheider did not have the season he hoped for. Before the last round, he was in fourth place in the general classification. With only one podium to his credit (a second place at the Lausitzring), he has never reached the top step, a wrong he hopes to right this weekend during the final stage at Hockenheim.

“This will be the grand finale, underlines the winner of the 24 2011 Hours of Spa, who won on this track last year. This means that we will all be free. We can still win the Teams title with Abt. This will be our goal. And as for my personal interest, it will be to win the race”. It would be a great way for Scheider to celebrate the retirement of the Audi A4 DTM, the car behind the wheel of which he won his two crowns.
