ABT is expanding its 2021 program. Already confirmed on the grids of the DTM GT3 version, the German structure is expanding its armada for the 2021 campaign. There will no longer be two but three Audi R8 LMS which will be entered by the team throughout the season.
The first two already entrusted to Mike Rockenfeller and Kelvin van der Linde, Sophia Flörsch will take care of the third. “ I can't wait to compete in the DTM, recognized the 20-year-old pilot. I am very happy to have the opportunity to prove myself against such a field of drivers ».
Sophia Flörsch is the first woman to compete in the DTM since the 2012 season. That year, Rahel Frey and Susie Wolff took part in the entire campaign. The first with ABT, the second with Persson Motorsport.
Furthermore, ABT welcomes the third female pilot in its history after the visits of Rahel Frey and Katherine Legge.
Sophia Flörsch will have the opportunity to discover the R8 LMS during pre-season testing at Hockenheim (April 7/8) then officially at Monza (June 19/20) for the opening of the 2021 financial year.
