Spengler: The title is far from won

At the end of the Nürburgring race, where Mattias Ekström (Audi) returned to success, Bruno Spengler carried out a great operation in the Championship by taking four points from his direct rival for the title Martin Tomczyk (Audi) after having signed second place. But the German remains seven points behind the leader and the Canadian is wary of a return of competition, even though he had a larger lead last season.

The leader of the German discipline, however, claims not to compare his current situation to that of 2010. “I don’t feel any different compared to last season”, recognizes Bruno Spengler on Autosport. “To be honest, I don't really remember how I felt last year, I don't remember my confidence level. »

The Canadian still thinks he has a good option to win the title even if the season is still long. “I feel like I have a chance to win the Championship but there is still a long way to go. There are four races and 40 points left to take, which requires a lot of work. I just have to stay put on the floor in all the races and do my best. »
