Follow Race 1 at Assen live video, threat of rain
This event is likely to be very lively due to the perilous climatic conditions. The rain fell during the lunch break and could disrupt the race again. Let us point out that the competitors never drove on a wet track during testing!
Pole position was achieved by Marco Wittmann (BMW), ahead of general classification leader René Rast (Audi) and the Frenchman Loïc duval (Audi). Initially credited with the 12th time, Robin Frijns (Audi) will start from the back of the grid due to an oil leak.
