Tomczyk targets DTM three-way mark

It's been a long time since we last saw Martin Tomczyk in such good shape. The German achieved the feat of pocketing two consecutive victories this season in DTM, with an “old generation” car. After taking part last weekend in the 24 Hours of Nürburgring in an Audi TT-RS, Tomczyk would like to achieve a third success in DTM, which would allow him to build a slight lead in the general classification.

“Many people ask me how long we will be able to continue this dynamic, declares the resident of the Phoenix team. It?s difficult to say, especially since the Norisring is a track that has not been successful for us over the last nine years. Jamie (Green, editor's note) won here with an older generation car. I hope we will be able to do the same. It wouldn't be so bad, for a change, if an "old" Audi took over there. »

With only one small point ahead of the driver Mercedes Bruno Spengler, retaining his leadership chair does not look like an easy task for Tomczyk.
