FIA GT – Sébastien Loeb Racing sets out again to conquer the summits

They had started the year in a spectacular way, in Nogaro, by winning in the first qualifying race of the year. Then experienced more delicate moments afterwards? The Sebastian Loeb Racing returns to the circuits this weekend at Zandvoort, for the third meeting of the year of the FIA GT Series. Barely back from Colorado after his historic victory at Pikes Peak, Sébastien Loeb will meet his teammate Alvaro Parente in the McLaren MP4-12C n°9. Fully motivated, the Portuguese will be keen to turn things around in the Netherlands: “During the first two meetings we had a chance to win, remembers the official McLaren driver. We also won the Nogaro qualifying race before experiencing more difficulties during the following events. However, in pure performance, we were still among the fastest. But things got off to a bad start in qualifying in Zolder... For the next weekend, we are aiming for the podium in both races and even more in the championship race. The Zandvoort track does not seem to have changed since I participated in the Masters of F3 in 2003 and 2004. We will have to adapt the settings of the McLaren MP4-12C to this track but I am quite confident. »

“We remain with two good results, close to the podium in Belgium, recalls Andreas Zuber, who teams up with Mike Parisy in the No. 10 car. It is difficult to predict what the result of this Dutch meeting will be, however I think we should do well. From my experience in F3, I know that this Zandvoort track gives pride of place to aerodynamics which are precisely one of the qualities of the McLaren. For my part, I couldn't wait for this break of more than two months to come to an end! We're finally going to get back behind the wheel...and I'm hungry for competition. Mike and I will do everything we can to get ourselves on the podium in both races! »
