FIA GT1 / Zolder: Victory for the No. 9 Porsche

The track was still wet at the start of the Championship race and wet tires were required on most cars when the light turned green. After winning the pole in the qualifying race and receiving a three-place penalty, Matt Halliday and Mike Parisy won with the Porsche n°9 of Exim Bank Team China. The New Zealander made a good stint starting from third place to allow the Frenchman to attack the BMW Z4 of Yelmer Buurman (Vita4One Racing) after putting on slick tires. Michael Bartels and Yelmer Buurman were content with second place after winning the qualifying race.

Toni Vilander and Filip Salaquarda took third place with the F458 AF Corse. The crew only took 13th place yesterday but their choice to take slicks for the start of the race paid off. Nicky Pastorelli and Thomas Jäger failed at the foot of the podium with the Mercedes SLS AMG from All-Inkl.com Munnich Motorsport after starting on the front row. Hexis Racing takes fifth place with McLaren MP4-12C of Frédéric Makowiecki and Stef Dusseldorp while the sister car n°2 of Grégoire Demoustier finished seventh behind the Audi R8 LMS of Laurens Vanthoor and Stéphane Ortelli only finished sixth after the Monegasque came into contact with the sister car #33 of Oliver Jarvis which finished tenth. Team WRT had opted for slicks but adapted less well than AF Corse.
