GT Tour – The Porsches show off

Franck Perera for Pro GT Almeras among the pros and Sacha Bottemanne for Ruffier Racing among the amateurs. Both set the best time this Friday during private testing for the French GT FFSA championship, opening the GT Tour at Le Mans, each aboard a Porsche 911 GT3 R. Among the professionals, Frank Perera, former test driver at Toyota en F1, set the best time of the day in 1:36:024 ahead of another veteran of the Japanese firm: Olivier Panis. On his McLaren MP4-12C GT3 entered by Hexis Racing, the Grenoblois finished 0??569 behind the leader. Morgan Moullin Traffort completes the top 3 with his Ferrari 458 Italia from Sofrev ASP. The real star of this weekend, Jacques Villeneuve set his best lap of the day in 1'37"675 in the morning, but had no credited time in the afternoon.

The young Parisian Sacha Bottemanne, from Ruffier Racing, beat four McLarens among the amateur drivers in 1:36:459. Laurent Pasquali, from Sébastien Loeb Racing, is second, a breath behind the leader 0??085. Followed by the two ART Grand Prix cars, Grégory Demoustier (1) and Gilles Vannelet (37). Qualifying practice will take place this Saturday from 367:1 a.m. to 37:373 a.m., while the first race of the French GT FFSA championship will take place at 10 p.m.
