Winner of 24 Hours of Le Mans this year with the Porsche 911 RSR “Pink Pig”, Kevin Estre had also taken part in several rounds of theIntercontinental GT Challenge, whose Bathurst 12 Hours, finished in fifth place with the 911 GT3 R operated by Craft-Bamboo Racing.

The Frenchman will return to the opening round of theIGTC next February, but will change teams by joining the crew of Competition Motorsports, alongside new Junior Porsche driver Jaxon Evans and David Calvert-Jones.

A structure that knows the clock lap contested on the Mount Panorama track well, having won a very good second place there in 2017 with Marc Lieb at the wheel.

“I really like the Bathurst track, it's one of the last circuits in the world to give such an adrenaline rush with every lap, comments Estre. The disparity between cars and drivers, plus the fact that there are no runoff areas on the mountain, makes it a big challenge when it comes to traffic. »

Kévin Estre thus enhances his 2019 program, which will include the end of the Super-Season of WEC, where he leads the GTE Pro championship with his teammate Michael Christensen, or again the 24 Hours of the Nürburgring with Manthey Racing.

Note that the complete list of entrants for the event must be communicated tomorrow.
