Kubica on his way to the DTM?

While waiting for the decision that Günther Steiner will take in the coming days and which will seal the fate of Grosjean or Hülkenberg at Haas, we can already say that there is little chance that Robert Kubica will be part of the 2020 grid. personal decision while he undoubtedly had a real chance of being able to stay with Williams.

However, at almost 35 years old, the native of Krakow hardly has time to wait for a future that sings in F1. Even dominated by George Russell that some see as a star of the future, the Pole knows that a car competitive would allow him to shine.

But convinced that the Grove team will not provide him, or at least not quickly enough, he seems to have ended up convincing himself that the priority was to invest in a longer-term program in a top team. And it is towards the DTM which he seems to be looking at. In 2013, the discipline had already caught the eye of the Pole, who had achieved a test session in Valencia (Spain) on a Mercedes.

However, still with the support of his partner Orlen, very satisfied with his involvement in F1, he could keep a foot in F1 via a role as third driver. To replace him, Nicholas latifi should be the chosen one. A marriage of convenience (economic) more than passion for the Williams team.
