Belgium finally at the start of the FIA Motorsport Games GT Cup

Represented by Team WRT and the Charles Weerts – Mike den Tandt tandem in 2018 at the FIA GT Nations Cup in Bahrain, Belgium was logically expected with a similar team for the FIA Motorsport Games in Vallelunga near Rome (November 1 – 3). ).

Everything seemed ready, but an unexpected recategorization of den Tandt prevented Vincent Vosse's troops from going to Italy. Our neighbors will, however, be there in less than a month since Louis Machiels, a regular in the Blancpain GT Series, Nico Verdonck, seen mainly in GT4 this year, will be entered in an Audi R8 LMS GT3 Evo operated by the Attempto Racing team. .

21 other nations will also be on track near Rome, with France whose interests will be defended by the duo Jim Pla – Jean-Luc Beaubelique and the Mercedes-AMG GT3 – AKKA-ASP. The majority of the grid will be made up of European countries (Germany, Spain, Italy, Great Britain, Portugal, Switzerland, Denmark, Poland, Belarus).

Australia, the United States, China, Russia and Japan will each field a GT3 for an almost global representation of the five continents, although South America is absent from the list.

All will try to succeed Turkey, winner in 2018 of the FIA GT Nations Cup in Bahrain with the duo Salih Yoluc – Ayhancan Güven, who will put their title back on the line, this time on a Aston Martin Vantage GT3 – TF Sport.
