The new Porsche 911 GT3 Cup completes its development

It still sports a well-known camouflage livery, usual for road or competition cars in full development, but the Porsche 911 GT3 Cup 2021 version, based on the 992 generation, has concluded the final phases of its development.

A story started in mid-2018 to determine the initial concept, before a first version Test Car 01 which completed its shakedown in mid-2019. Between wind tunnel sessions and first track tests at Weissach, the TC01 accumulated development sessions, supplemented by runs at the Lausitzring and Monza.

It was then the first pre-production car that took to the track, including a long session at the Nürburgring, the car being entrusted to Klaus Bachler, Marco Holzer, Lars Kern, Michael Ammermüller and Jörg Bergmeister, then to Oschersleben, where a race weekend with simulated situations (problems, damage, etc.) was carried out.

The car is expected to compete next year, mainly in the Porsche Supercup and Porsche Carrera Cup.
