Saleen confirms

We take the same and start again. The Adria qualifying hierarchy confirms the results of the first round of the championship, run two weeks ago at Silvestone. The Wendlinger/Sharp duo won ahead of Bertolini/Bartels and Maassen/Moreau. Already the fastest on Friday evening in pre-qualifying, the Saleen S7 of the Czech team K plus K took the lead in Saturday's qualifying session. Karl Wendlinger took the GT1 pole with a fantastic time of 1:11:759. The No. 14 Saleen is also the only one in this second since, in second position, we find Andrea Bertolini in 1:12:086 at the wheel of the Maserati MC 12 of Vitaphone Racing. He was just two thousandths ahead of the other Maserati from the Vitaphone team, driven by Alex Müller (1:12:088). Xavier Maassen takes the Corvette Z06 of the Luc Alphand Aventures team to fourth position in 1:12:479.

Bonne journée pour l?Autriche puisque, outre la pole en GT1 de Wendlinger, son compatriote Martin Ragginger a signé le meilleur temps des GT2 au volant de sa Porsche 911, coiffant les trois Ferrari F430 from the Italians Ruberti, Bruni and Cadei.

In GT3, Maxime Martin, the Belgian from the AutoGt Racing team, set the best time in the second qualifying session. He therefore took the Morgan Aero Super Sport to pole in the second race, ahead of the Ford GT of Thomas Mutsch and the Ferrari F430 of Phil Quaife. In the first qualifying session, the Ford GTs were a hit, as was the Matech Racing team, which placed its two cars in the first two places. It was Dino Lunardi who set the best time ahead of Walter Salles and Christoffer Nygaard.
