The DTM in Shanghai in November

If the arrival of the DTM in China was planned for the end of the season, the decision was confirmed this Saturday. The date has also been chosen: it will be November 28.

After 2004, the DTM will therefore return to Shanghai, from November 26 to 28. The organizers validated the date this Saturday, by signing the contract allowing the Chinese megalopolis to host the Mercedes Class C and the Audi A4. A city tour will be specially designed for the event, in the heart of Shanghai. After the engagement of driver CongFu Cheng by Mercedes, the logic of bringing the DTM closer to China continues, with both manufacturers involved having a great interest in it.

« I have good memories of the first appearance of the DTM in 2004, confides Norbert Haug, boss of Mercedes Motorsport. It was the first race in the city of Shanghai. I would be very happy if we could repeat the victory we achieved six years ago. For Mercedes, China is the third largest market in the world and, therefore, it is extremely important. »
