The DTM on the Lausitzring oval at the end of July

The championship of DTM will use part of the oval of the Lausitzring circuit on July 24 and 25. Since 2001, the DTM has always used the “Grand Prix” layout but the return of spectators in three weeks has pushed the organizers to add spice.

The banking of the 1st turn is inclined at 6 degrees and the drivers will be at full throttle in this long 300 meter curve.

“We want to ensure a spectacle for the return of spectators this year but also for years to come, says Frederic Elsner, DTM event and operations director. It will be an unforgettable experience when the drivers take this corner hard… pure action! »

This new version is still subject to validation by the FIA and should be 4 kilometers compared to 575 kilometers on the current route. Two races will be on the program: one on Saturday July 4 and another on Sunday July 570.
