FIA GT World Cup entrants known

24 cars will be present from November 19 to 22 as part of the Macau Grand Prix to compete for the first FIA GT World Cup in the streets of the Chinese city.

14 drivers will be eligible to score points for the five manufacturers recently chosen to be part of this international meeting namely Aston Martin, Audi, Porsche, McLaren et Mercedes. The two best placed cars will be able to score points.

Among the headliners, we will find in particular Earl bamber, winner of 24 Hours of Le Mans this year with the 919 Hybrid, and who will defend the interests of the Zuffenhausen brand on a 911 GT3 R from LKM Racing. Dylan Derdaele and Chris van der Drift will be the other two drivers nominated by Porsche.

In the Audi clan, Laurens Vanthoor, who crashed at Misano in the Blancpain Sprint Series last Saturday, and withdrew from the Zandvoort final this weekend, remains on the list in an R8 LMS from Team WRT. The brand with the rings will also be able to count on Edward Mortara (Team Phoenix) and Hong Kong pilot Marchy Lee.

Mercedes will trust Renger van der Zande and Maro Engel (AMG Driving Academy), while McLaren has chosen the FFF Racing Team and drivers Andre Couto (former winner of the Macau GP), Will Buller and Alvaro Parente. At Aston Martin, three Vantages from Craft-Bamboo Racing will be able to score points, but only Darryl O'Young is currently confirmed.

Among the ten other entrants, we will find in particular two Ferrari 458 Italia for AF Corse including one for Pasin Lathouras, winner in Pro-Am at the 24 Hours of Spa this year, or three Bentley Continental GT3s from Team Absolute.
