Okayama trials behind closed doors

If the Super Formula will not be able to go to the dates planned at Suzuka, the pre-season tests being postponed due to the coronavirus, the Super GT will see its winter runs maintained on the initial date of March 14 and 15.

The competitors in the Japanese Grand Touring Championship, which sees two categories on the track (GT500 and GT300), will however compete behind closed doors, without spectators in the stands or the paddock.

“Okayama International Circuit Co., Ltd. and GT Association Co., Ltd. discussed as a priority on the subject of the health and safety of customers and competitors in light of the recent spread of the coronavirus, states the press release.

We apologize, but appreciate your understanding. We will provide more information on the opening round of Okayama on April 11-12, depending on the announcements and the situation. »

Remember that Super Formula has already seen its inaugural round of 2020 at Suzuka postponed to an unspecified date.
