McLaren Automotive on the cusp of a new era

The situation seems diametrically opposed. On one side, the stable McLaren remains stuck in a difficult situation F1, on the other hand, Woking's automotive division has never seemed to be doing so well.

Proof of this is the recent announcement by the British manufacturer of a new plan called Track25, costing more than 1,3 billion euros, for the launch of eighteen new models by 2025.

A deadline also chosen by McLaren to move its entire range to 100% hybrid. Among these new models, a descendant of the P1 hypercar is notably expected.“We are a luxury brand committed to investing in innovation, comments Mike Flewitt, Managing Director of McLaren Automotive.

Whether that's in developing and manufacturing our own carbon fiber parts as part of a new €56 million UK production center, or new powertrains with our entire range set to be hybrid by 2025, or with the deployment of technology to improve the experience of driving and owning a McLaren. »

McLaren hopes to reach the milestone of 6 cars produced per year in the next decade.
