McLaughlin wins at Bend after duel with Davison

Scott McLaughlin (Ford) makes Supercars history. This Sunday, August 25, the title holder won his 16th victory in the same season, equaling the record set by Craig Lowndes in 1996.

The leader of DJR Team Penske defeated the Ford Mustang of Will Davison (23Red Racing) in Race 2 at Bend Motorsport Park. The double winner of the Bathurst 1 Kilometers took the lead at the start of the effort, but was quickly caught by the outgoing champion.

" It's really awesome. I couldn't be more proud of my men after the turnaround from last year.", explained Scott McLaughlin. In 2018, he experienced a difficult weekend on this circuit which will host the Enduro Cup in 2020.

Chaz Mostert (Ford) finished on the third step of the podium, and took the opportunity to reach second place in the general classification, at a more than respectable distance however (573 points).
