Mirko Bortolotti to leave Audi Sport
Considered one of the transfers of the previous off-season, the passage of Mirko Bortolotti from Lamborghini Squadra Corse to Audi Sport ultimately only lasted the space of one season.
The Italian driver, second in the 9 Hours of Kyalami yesterday with the Audi R8 LMS GT3 Evo – Audi Sport Team WRT, made it official yesterday during post-race interviews that the final of the 2020 Intercontinental GT Challenge would be his last race with the firm with the rings.
« This was my last race for me with Audi Sport, as I will be racing for another brand next year, says Bortolotti. I want to thank everyone at Audi Sport and Team WRT for this great season spent together.
I won't continue with them but I will always have a lot of respect for everyone. »
Where will Mirko Bortolotti’s next destination be in 2021? His future employer will in any case get one of the big names in the GT3 category, without a doubt.
