Denny Hamlin enters the legend of NASCAR by pocketing the symbolic “NASCAR Triple Crown” which rewards a driver who wins the Daytona 500, the Southern 500 in Darlington and the Coca-Cola 600 in Charlotte. This Charlotte round also becomes the longest race contested in the history of the Nascar Cup Series. To the 600 miles of racing, two overtimes were added to decide between Denny Hamlin and Kyle Busch, separated by only 0 at the finish line.
