NASCAR's modern-day gladiators

Joey Logano will forever remain the first driver to win at the Los Angeles Coliseum, and especially the first winner behind the wheel of a 7th generation car.

Fifty thousand spectators were present at the Los Angeles Coliseum to watch this competition NASCAR out of the norm. Exceptional above all by the choice of this legendary venue, essentially dedicated to American football and athletics meetings, which twice hosted the Olympic Games in 1932 and 1984. A 402 meter asphalt oval was created in the California stadium, which will certainly go down as the shortest track in Cup Series history.

After around a hundred practice laps, the drivers took to the track alone on Saturday for three qualifying laps intended to determine the starting order for the four sprint races on Sunday, the “Heat Races”. In this game, Kyle Busch was imperial, at the wheel of his Toyota Joe Gibbs Camry
