Nismo restructures at the top

Nismo is restructuring at the top. The sporting branch of the Japanese manufacturer has announced the appointment of Takao Katagiri as new executive director, replacing Shoichi Miyatani. The new boss was until now the executive vice president and was also the head of the management committee for the Japanese, Asian and oceanic markets. He has more than thirty years of activity within the Japanese brand.

Michael Carcamo has been confirmed as head of Nissan's Global Motorsport program, a spot previously held by Darren Cox who was let go in 2015 following the program's failure WEC with the GT-R Nismo LMP1. Carcamo had already taken up his duties following the departure of the Briton.
