Nissan confirms its drivers, Mardenborough replaced by Matsushita

Continuity will be almost completely required at Nissan in Super GT for the 2021 season. The Japanese brand, rival in the series of Honda and Toyota, made official this Monday the drivers who will drive the GT-R Nismo GT500 this year.

The Ronnie Quintarelli – Tsugio Matsuda crew will continue within Team Nismo on the No. 23, while the duo Kohei Hirate – Katsumasa Chiyo returns for a new season on the No. 3 of the NDDP with B-Max.

It is within Team Impul and Kondo Racing that the changes will be found since Jann Mardenborough, resident of Kondo Racing, will not be fielded by Nissan this year. The former winner of the GT Academy will be numerically replaced by Nobuharu Matsushita, the latter however moving to the No. 12 – Team Impul alongside Kazuki Hiramine.

Daiki Sasaki, driver of this No. 12 in 2020, will don the Kondo Racing suit to support Mitsunori Takaboshi.
