Super GT will begin a new chapter in its history in 2020. The Japanese championship will see the arrival of Toyota in the premier category, the GT500, with the GR Supra. This joins the Nissan GT-R and the Honda NSX-GT, all three presented at a press conference at Suzuka on Wednesday September 11.
The three cars will all have a front engine, which is a novelty for the Honda NSX-GT. This modification was made in order to converge with the new Class One regulations, common with the German Touring Championship (DTM).
Visually, the Honda and the Nissan hardly change, while the Toyota preserves the appearance of the production car. The Nissan will begin a development program at Suzuka on September 12.
