See Dorian Boccolacci in difficulty in Porsche Carrera Cup France is unusual. This Friday in free practice, the Martinet by Alméras driver did not appear in the top 5 and was relegated to almost 2 seconds behind the leader. But don’t panic for the championship leader: “ Yesterday we had worn tires. My aggressive driving is not ideal with tires that have covered more than 150 kilometers. The free practices were not indicative of our level of performance. »

The pressure on the shoulders of the Cannes driver is great, since it was his rival Marvin Klein (CLRT) who dominated the two 40-minute sessions. “ CLRT put new tires on in FP2 so they were obviously ahead. We will have them all in qualifying so we will see where we are in terms of performance. You have to pay attention to track limits. I hope to do two very good laps to be well placed in C1 and C2. »

While the championship is soon coming to an end, the current leader of the rookie category has not started to do the math: “ I don't want to calculate, I just want to concentrate on each race. I'm giving myself this opportunity to manage for the last round in Portimao. This weekend, I want to look for a win. »

First answers for Dorian Boccolacci and his team from 12:25 p.m. with the qualifying session, to be followed on AUTOweekly.
