PCCF – Dorian Boccolacci doubles the lead in C2 at Magny-Cours

He dominated race 1 yesterday, Dorian Boccolacci (Martinet by Alméras) repeated his performance this Saturday for the second race of the Porsche Carrera Cup France on the Magny-Cours circuit.

The scenario will however have been slightly different, the former pilot F2 this time having to battle with Dylan Pereira (Lechner Racing), his rival on the front row at the end of qualifying.

If Boccolacci repeats his perfect start from Friday and starts the long straight of Estoril in the lead in front of Pereira, Alessandro Ghiretti (Martinet by Alméras) gets the better of Florian Latorre (CLRT) in the first meters for third place. Two battles then began between the Boccolacci – Pereira and Ghiretti – Latorre tandems for the rest of the race.

The leader will never manage to create a gap of more than two seconds against the Luxembourger, but the latter will on the other hand never have the opportunity to make the slightest serious attack, a similar pattern for Florian Latorre against the Junior Porsche Carrera Cup France 2021.

Boccolacci won in the end ahead of Pereira and Ghiretti, the top 5 being completed by Latorre and Marvin Klein (CLRT). Jérôme Boullery (YDEO by Racing Technology) and Maxence Maurice (IMSA Performance) also achieved a double in the Pro-Am and Am categories after their successes on Friday.

The next meeting of the Porsche Carrera Cup France will take place next weekend on the Paul Ricard circuit, alongside the GT Open.
