Crazy, spectacular, incredible, there is no shortage of laudatory terms to describe the Portimão route. The PCCF drivers gave it their all throughout the two free practice sessions. “ It's the most beautiful circuit of the season, even ahead of Spa, assures Arthur Mathieu (Spark). He is truly amazing ". Terms that we find a little further in the paddock, in the CLRT box. “ I love the track », admits Marvin Klein with a big smile. Best time in EL1 appreciates the diversity that Portuguese asphalt offers: “ It's superb because there's everything, elevation change, double turns. It's really great to drive ". For Evan Spenle (MRT by CLRT): “ I compare the circuit to a roller coaster ! » He doesn't think he's saying that well since it's one of the nicknames of the Autodromo Internacional de l'Algarve.

To better understand the joy of riding on this circuit, head to Martinet by Alméras to meet Alessandro Ghiretti. Hope Porsche France 2021 holds the track record in LMP3 with a time of 1'34''897. A slightly disturbed interview by his teammate Dorian Boccolacci. “ This circuit is atypical “, begins Alessandro Ghiretti. “ He said to detail a little bit, not in one word », retorts his teammate. Lots of laughter for all three. “ It is a very complete circuit », continues the 4th in the championship. He is immediately cut off by the ranking leader: “ But why ? » New burst of laughter. “ Because there are elevation changes, blind turns, fast ones, slow ones… For me here, you have to have a lot of talent to go fast », concludes the Porsche junior. “ Hence your LMP3 pole! », Finishes Dorian Boccolacci. As the end of the PCCF approaches, the Martinet by Alméras drivers are as relaxed as ever.

We will see how they manage the pressure this Saturday with the qualifications which start at 14:15 p.m.
