Sacha Fenestraz will miss the start of the Japanese season

Sacha Fenestraz lost the majority of his title chances, even before the start of the season.

Indeed, the Frenchman is still stuck in his visa problems to go to Japanese territory. As a result, he will not be able to be present at the opening of the Super GT on April 10 and 11 in Okayama, as confirmed by the entry list published this Monday.

This means he will also miss the first round of Super Formula this weekend at Fuji.

The pilot of the Toyota KeePer TOM's GR Supra, fourth in last year's Super GT with Yuhi Sekiguchi, had already missed pre-season testing in recent weeks.

Fenestraz will be replaced by Sena Sakaguchi driving the Toyota in Okayama. The Japanese Tadasuke Makino, notably scheduled in the Honda NSX of Team Kunimitsu with Naoki Yamamoto, will also be absent from the two opening weekends, as he is recovering from meningitis. Hideki Muto will replace him in the Honda seat.
