He left Zandvoort before the summer with two fourth places and thirteen points behind leader Lucas Frayssinet. But in Barcelona, a gala Simon Tirman took power! The young 26-year-old Frenchman had an extremely solid weekend in Catalonia, winning the two pole positions of the meeting and the victory in race 2. His main opponent of the weekend was not Frayssinet, but Paul Cauhaupé, Edouard's brother (!), with whom he fought wheel to wheel all weekend.

The first of the two big battles between these two took place in Race 1, after Paul Cauhaupé took advantage of a third neutralization to get back on Tirman. The final sprint was breathtaking, and saw Cauhaupé overtake his teammate on the last lap to claim a second victory this year! The next day, in Race 2, Tirman took his revenge by simply showing himself to be immovable from pole, despite constant pressure from Cauhaupé.

The latter also fell to 6th position after receiving a five-second penalty for joining the track in a dangerous manner at the start. Overall, Simon Tirman is the new leader of the championship, thanks to two points ahead of Lucas Frayssinet and fourteen over Cauhaupé, his opponent of the weekend. The battle between the fantastic three will continue at Monza (September 23-25), for what will already be the penultimate round of the season. We can not wait to be there !
