With a starting grid less extensive than what other international or national GT3 series can offer, the GT Pirelli World Challenge will offer a renewed face in 2019 as confirmed SRO Motorsports, who recently took charge of the destiny of the American championships.
The GT Pirelli World Challenge will be contested over seven events next year, with a new race format established over 90 minutes, with crews of two drivers. The appointments on the calendar will be organized over a maximum of three days, thus offering optimized piloting time.
The GTS category (welcoming GT4 cars) will, however, remain focused on single-driver races, lasting 50 minutes. Drivers classified up to Gold level will be able to compete in this series.
Two new GT4 series will also be set up to respond to the growth of the category: the GT4 America East and America West. Pro-Am (Silver/Bronze) and Am (Bronze/Bronze) duos will be able to compete in the five races on the menu in each series.
The TCR will be maintained with a calendar now structured around seven meetings. More details will be revealed during the 24 Hours of Spa in around ten days.
